If you’re reading this post, I’m guessing you’re ready to take your online presence to the next level and build your social business. If you’re preparing to kick things up a notch, you’re going to need some tools to help you along the way. This is a small collection of my must have apps for Influencers and Content Creators.

Must Have Apps for Influencers & Content Creators | Kerry Johnson

1. Lightroom

This is my favourite app. Lightroom is an image manipulation app from Adobe, that allows you to edit your photos in a number of ways. This can also be used with presets to create a cohesive aesthetic for your Instagram (or other social) feed.

You can find some stunning Lightroom presets on my Content Creation Pinterest Board.

2. Canva

Canva | Must Have Apps

Canva is a simple graphic design app that includes thousands of free templates, images and illustrations. If you’re looking for a quick way to create an Instagram story or Facebook cover photo, Canva is a great go-to. This can be used for both web and print design.

3. Snapseed

This is another photo editing app that allows users to enhance photos and apply filters. It has a simple Tools menu, with a number of basic image manipulation abilities.

4. Unfold

Unfold is a content creation app that I use for Instagram stories and eBooks. It allows you to apply a number of effects to photos, create collages and export them directly to social media. You can also save image files and PDFs directly from the app.

5. PicsArt

PicsArt | Must Have Apps

Another photo editing app here – you can apply filters, draw with layers, cut and paste parts of images and share directly to social media. PicsArt also has a number of great effects like the one above (I’m betting you’ve seen that one on Instagram more than once).

6. Preview

This is the app I use to plan my Instagram feed. There are hundreds of apps you can use to do this, but Preview is the simplest I’ve come across. It has a great drag and drop feature, connects directly to Instagram and allows you to plan and copy captions. This is great to see how your feed will look.

7. Bitly

You’ve probably used Bitly before at some point. This is the app I use to quickly create short links to post to social media. You can use the default bit.ly domain, or add your own to personalise your links.

8. Buffer

Buffer | Must Have Apps

Buffer is a simple and powerful scheduling tool, which allows you to automatically post to a number of social media sites. You can use it with Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Instagram.

9. Ripl

If you use video as part of your marketing strategy (we all know we should be going in to 2020), Ripl is a great app to help you create them. It includes simple templates to help you create content you can be proud of.

What are your favourite apps? I’d love to hear about them.
